Water Resources Project Advisor Sam Sarkar Honored with Halff Home Run Award

Water Resources Advisor Sam Sarkar has been named the honoree of the latest Halff Home Run Award. His leadership, innovation and commitment to excellence continue to make an extraordinary difference to our clients and teams.

Sam is an exceptional engineer, marked by his strategic creativity and ability to see the big picture while never losing sight of the details.

Demonstrative of this was his response over the past couple years to two devastating Central Texas floods. Sam developed a tool showing flood data to help people understand the rainfall events more deeply, beyond solely examining how much rain fell. This is incredibly impactful because it serves as a forward-thinking resource for clients and communities recovering, asking questions and preparing better infrastructure for future storms.

Those who work with Sam highlight his reliability and resourcefulness. Leading the innovation group within Halff’s Water Resources practice, he regularly applies his expertise in flood warning systems, collecting ideas and developing processes to streamline tasks.
